Sequoyah Elementary is proud to announce that for the second year in a row we received a matching grant from the Arkansas Arts Council. The Learning Through the Arts Program will provide all students the opportunity for a hands-on experience with an artist-in-residence workshop. This program offers literacy workshops and arts-focused sessions integrating language arts, social studies, art and music learning standards. Artists songwriter Shannon Wurst (back by popular demand) and musician/actress Chelsye Ginn will be at Sequoyah from January 23rd through February 3rd. This is a another great student experience which aligns with the goals of our STEAM initiative.
