Russellville School District will not be meeting on site for the remainder of this school year but we are still dedicated to providing relevant, skills based AMI lessons for every grade, that focus on the whole child: their health, their social emotional state, and their well being during this stressful time. The AMI lessons we are sending home are not focused on learning new material. The lessons are intended to explore deeper learning, be personalized to engage students at home through learning tasks, emphasize problem solving, critical thinking, projects, and include student choice. By doing so, students can be reached where they are, based on what they need, to ensure he/she gets the support they deserve. We understand we have to be flexible during this time. We want families to stay safe, stay home, have fun together, and be healthy.
\r\nTeachers will be completing check ins with their students via phone calls or video conferencing in order to ensure they are supported during this time. Assessment of learning will occur through student self reflection, with teacher direction and feedback. Teachers will use maximum flexibility to support and challenge students with personalized accountability.
