RHS Cyclone Theatre presents Thunderstruck in Possum Grape October 8 -11, 2026 at The Center for the Arts.
Thunderstruck in Possum Grape is a comedy play written by former University of the Ozarks professor; Dr. Rhonda Shook. The play centers around Kya McKennon who wakes up in Possum Grape, Arkansas, with mysterious injuries and no memory of how she got there from her glamorous life in Chicago. As she meets the various eccentric townsfolk, including a Harley-riding doctor, a high heel-wearing mechanic, and an actual witch, she slowly pieces together what happened to her and her role in this strange little town. Upon arrival at the show, the theatre will be dark and instead of taking a seat in the audience, guests will step onto the stage and enter the town of Possum Grape,
Arkansas sitting just steps away from the actors. This is more than a night at the theatre. It’s an immersive experience where the audience and actors share the same space, creating an intimate, exciting atmosphere you just can’t get in a traditional theatre seat.
Because the audience will be seated directly on the stage, seating is limited. Tickets are $11.28 and can be purchased at tcfta.booktix.com. The price of the ticket is all in including fees. Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets. Concessions will also be sold.
